[ 0 ] May 3, 2010 | The JOBS Project

This year, The JOBS Project invites students and teachers to join the Renewable Energy Tour and spread the word that energy from wind is viable in Central Appalachia. Construction of Beech Ridge Wind Farm in Greenbrier County, WV began at the end of 2009. One hundred and nineteen turbines will stretch across fifteen miles to generate 186 MW of electricity. More information is coming soon.

In the spring of 2009, participants visited two utility-scale wind farms, Mountaineer Wind Energy and Mt. Storm.
